Built by the Cie d'Anzin from 1909 to 1923, the city is characterized by curved streets playing with the unevenness. The dwellings group together the dwellings by 2, 3 or 4. Picturesque in style, the city is distinguished by the great typological variety of its dwellings with very diversified volumes: uplifted roofs, dormer windows with double gables. Characteristic of the Anzin style, the facades offer varied compositions of white bricks and orange or turquoise glazed bricks. Some dwellings have entrance porches decorated with faux concrete logs.
