| 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 | 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗲́𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮̀ 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁-𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗹𝗲𝘀-𝗘𝗮𝘂𝘅 – 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲́𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗲 🏺 📅 𝗢𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲́𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗲 – 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲́𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲́𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝘂 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲 (𝟮𝟬 𝗲𝘁 𝟮𝟭 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲) → Self-guided and guided tour In 1705, the mastery of ceramics and earthenware brought growing renown to Saint-Amand-les-Eaux. Nicolas Desmoutiers founded the spa town's first earthenware factory there. Many factories followed, contributing to the town's reputation throughout the country. This artisanal tradition continues and still inspires creators today. The Abbey Tower Museum hosts a 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗲́𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 with the works of 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗺 and 𝗪𝗮𝗰𝗾'𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂, presented alongside creations of 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘆, a 20th-century ceramic sculptor, who created some of his pieces at the famous Faïencerie du Moulin-des-Loups.
