Resulting from the activity of the Sabatier pit, the construction of slag heap 175 began in 1913. It is a conical slag heap which has retained its original characteristics. From its summit, the beech and oak forest of Raismes stretches as far as the eye can see, it also offers wide viewpoints over the surrounding slag heaps as well as over the Sabatier and Pinson estates. It hosts arborescent vegetation (birches, poplars) as well as a rich and diversified fauna. Located at its feet, a small subsidence pond called the pond of three mortars recalls the original hydrographic richness of the sector.
