Lucien Jonas - In the Land of Coal and Steel Following the exhibition Lucien Jonas, Decorative Ambition, presented in spring 2025, the artist's family entrusted the La Porte du Hainaut museums with a significant collection of works and documents related to the world of work, industry, and social genre scenes. Until now rarely, if ever, exhibited in its entirety to the public, this exceptional collection now joins the public collections of Denain. The exhibition Lucien Jonas - In the Land of Coal and Steel highlights this precious artistic and documentary legacy, offering a unique perspective on the industrial and human world that shaped the region. A rare opportunity to discover previously unseen works and to better understand Lucien Jonas's perspective on the working class and the industrial history of Northern France.
