The opening and closing of the Thun-Saint-Amand lock will allow you to observe its operation. The guide will explain the role of the fish passes and show you the remains of the former river and industrial activities where nature has largely reclaimed its rights. You will then reach the confluence with the Scheldt, once the second largest river port in France and an important customs transit zone. Or prepare your visit by purchasing tickets from participating merchants. We promise you, there will be no ugly ducklings! For the first arrivals, many prizes to be won. The profits will be donated to the Fondation des oeuvres Sociales de l'Air (FOSA) and the actions of the rotary.
