An eclectic exhibition Amandinois adopted, from Anjou, Jacques HESLON exhibits his paintings at the Tourist Office of La Porte du Hainaut until August 31. A self-taught painter since his youth, Jacques HESLON has sparkling eyes when he talks about his passion. Retired for twenty years, he enjoys his free time to explore various techniques such as oil painting, watercolor or pastel. Among his favorite subjects, the marines inspired by the Breton coast are painted in his workshop in Amsterdam from sketches made in watercolor on the fly or copies of English painters, including Turner and Constable. In the same way, country landscapes and still lifes are made from photographs or copies of artists. Most of the paintings reflect the sometimes dark temperament of Jacques HESLON. And to add: I love the tormented skies of Turner or Constable. Here he delivers an eclectic exhibition.
